Taking a broad look at the legislative initiatives of the past six months - TARP, the stimulus package, cap-and-trade, health-care reform – it would be hard to imagine a more effective attack on liberty and capitalism. Obama has taken unprecedented, un-Constitutional, actions which have worked against private enterprise, and to the advantage of trade unions – particularly the SEIU. With the help of allies in Congress, he has added staggering sums to the national debt, which by his own admission are un-sustainable. But troubling as these developments have been, the views held by Obama’s closest advisors – his Czars – suggest that we could be in for even worse. His close friend, Valerie Jarrett, has nothing but praise for “Green Jobs Czar” Van Jones – a self-proclaimed communist, with a history of anti-police, black-nationalist activism. Consider this along with Obama’s ties to Weather Underground founder, William Ayres, and Reverend Wright – “God d…n America!” – and the conclusion is inescapable: That Obama’s vision of “change” will reduce our nation, our liberties, our prosperity, and our future to nothing but a tapped-out, hollow shell of the American Dream. Van Jones has been quoted as saying “personnel is policy”. By surrounding himself with a cadre of radical, anti-capitalist, anti-American Czars, Obama has made his policy clear. But how could anyone with such a history get anywhere near a President of the United States of America? Is no one in Congress concerned by the resumes of these close advisors? Were these people not vetted by the FBI? Well, I for one am deeply concerned. I respectfully urge you to look into this and tell me how you can continue with “business as usual” while Obama and his Czars plan our dismal future. Did the FBI miss the “red flags” in Van Jones’ background? If so, our President may be in danger. If they did not – and they said nothing – we are all in danger of losing our liberty. Many of us voted for you out of respect for your career in law enforcement. You have taken an oath to uphold the Constitution and to defend it against all enemies, foreign and domestic.
