FedEx Sucks, and Here's Why

This will be our third and final attempt to resolve this problem short of Small Claims court.
We’ve paid the sum of $25.85 to you twice: Once on 7-13-09 via a Key Bank Bill Pay system, and again on 7-17-09 via a debit card debit (see three (3) attached printouts). You only credited one of those payments to our Fedex account, and you are STILL showing a “past due” balance of $8.63.

We have emailed you and received nonsense in reply.

We have attempted to call you and became lost in your phone menu labyrinth.

This fax is the last time we’ll jump through your hoops to correct your mistakes.

If this is not resolved in 15 days we will file complaints with the BBB, the Attorney General (yours and ours), and the FTC, and we will file in Small Claims to recover our overpayment (Washington now allows Small Claims suits against out of state defendants via a telephone link in the courtroom).

When you straighten this out, please credit the appropriate amount to our Fedex account; we will use it up that way.

We're sorry you couldn't be bothered to respond to our previous letter of 8-30-09 (attached).

Instead of responding in any intelligent or meaningful way, you have merely sent us another bill for $8.63 (your invoice #9-264-050xx).

You were paid TWICE for this amount. We sent you a check for $25.85, which you cashed. We were worried that it may take some time for it to arrive, so we paid you the same amount again by debit card. We assumed the overpayment would merely be credited to our account, and we would use that up in the normal course of business. You apparently failed to credit either payment to our account.

Since you have demonstrated that you're not willing to communicate with us, or to even attempt to get to the bottom of your error, we have decided to go ahead and file against you via our state's attorney general and the BBB at this time, rather than wait until 9-15. You clearly have no interest in clearing this up amicably. We have requested of our bank documented proof that our funds were deposited into your account. Once we have that, we will file in small claims court against you for the sum, plus court costs. We are able to file against you in our locale since you maintain a corporate agent in this state.

We used to think FedEx was one of the most competently run businesses in the world. After a handful of experiences with you like this, we are now forced to conclude that your management is probably simply mentally handicapped.

You have no further grace period. We are initiating action against you without delay.
