We're tired of buying expensive products, only to discover that they're junk. One of the worst and most frequent offenders is, in our experience, Lowe's Home Improvement stores. They buy Chinese junk at absurdly low prices, and they resell them at extremely high prices, and unfortunately for their victims, the stuff very often simply falls apart. Like many other retailers, Lowe's offers a system by which the angry customer can review a product s/he's bought, and tell others about their experiences. Unfortunately for the unwary customer, Lowe's seems to actively and in our view capriciously cull reviews it doesn't personally like. We feel this is dishonest and grossly, unforgivably unfair to the customer. Below is a documented example of Lowe's cherry-picking its product reviews. Our advice? If you have to shop at Lowe's, and thank God they have competition so almost none of us does, beware. Be very careful, stick to name brands whose quality is proven, and avoid items that could even possibly come from China. Note that Lowe's did have the time and energy to cull our product review, but made ZERO effort to make good on its deplorably shoddy and high-priced merchandise. Before Lowe's rejected our product review, we were going to avoid Lowe's when convenient. After seeing how they've treated this case, we're going to avoid them no matter what, forever. This is bad, bad business. How many tens, or hundreds of thousands of reviews has Lowe's rejected which would have saved hundreds of thousands of customers from ending up with junk like this? When we purchased this item there were NO reviews on it. But maybe dozens or hundreds of other victims bought this and tried to warn us by posting negative reviews which Lowe's capriciously culled? We'll never know, this side of a courtroom. As we prepare this website, every city in America is being deluged with the type of protesters who are sitting-in on Wall street. Their cause is incredibly poorly articulated. But THIS is one of the things they're sick of, and so are we. If you're going to sell shoddy crap at high prices, at least have the cahones to stand up straight and take it when people complain. And by the way, when we first started trying to submit our review of these lights to Lowe's it was kicked back over and over and over for "offensive language". What offensive language was that? We racked our brains trying to figure it out. Finally we removed the word "crap" as part of our description of this product, and the review breezed on through, only to be rejected at the next level by a real person. When you're shopping on the Lowe's website and you're concerned about the quality of a product, beware of the so-called "customer reviews". Clearly and documentably, not all negative reviews are being revealed, and we call that despicable, sneaky and dishonorable. Spend your money and invest your trust somewhere else. Lowe's isn't worthy of it.
