We’ve emailed you repeatedly – you cannot be bothered to respond.

We’ve called you – you cannot be bothered to respond.

Now we’re faxing you, and we’re posting this fax on the Internet where it will be searchable by Google under your name. There is clearly something wrong with you stupid sons of bitches.

On 8-26 we placed the order shown below. We were loathe to use Google Checkout because we’ve had some sort of bizarre problem EVERY SINGLE TIME we’ve been stupid enough to try to use it. You don’t offer a normal credit card checkout. Thanks.

The transaction didn’t go through because we were using an expired card.

We immediately made the same purchase using the new credit card. This time it appeared to go through fine.

Unfortunately, we never received any kind of order confirmation from either you, or Google. Curiously, however, Google charged the new card successfully.

To try to clear this up and make sure the helmet was on its way, we tried, as we’ve said above, to repeatedly use your form to contact you. You were apparently too Goddamned arrogant to even reply to us over two days. We then tried calling you, but even during regular business hours, we could only reach a cheap answering machine. Now we’re faxing you, and we’re advising you that this order (the second one) is herewith cancelled. If you ship the item anyway we’ll refuse delivery. Since you will not reply to us, we are filing a chargeback at this time.

There’s something wrong with you folks. You’re morons. Do not ever contact us again. We’re done with you.

Hello,

On Aug 26, an attempt to charge $125.99 for your order with Pro1 failed. MASTERCARD xxx-5260 has declined your card ending in 5260. This may have occurred because of insufficient funds or as a precautionary measure against fraud.

1. You should call the phone number on the back of your card to resolve any issues
2. Fix your card to resume your order: https://checkout.google.com/updateCreditCard

Once you have resolved all the issues, we'll continue processing your order. If you don't fix your card within seven days, your order will be cancelled.

Conclusion:

The above was faxed as indicated (see below); emails were sent and phone calls were made. Phone records are on file. We were never contacted by Pro1 until 10-24-09, nearly TWO MONTHS LATER.

We received NO REPLY AT ANY TIME -- not to emails, phone calls or faxes, for TWO MONTHS! We have ZERO respect for this outfit for that alone.

While our second purchase attempt appeared to go through the Google system, no charge was ultimately ever debited by Google, therefore there was nothing to file a chargeback against. This, or some snafu like it, is typical of every single transaction we've ever attempted using the Google Checkout system, and we deleted our Google checkout account in October of 2009. We will not do business with any vendor who does not offer traditional (merchant account) methods for making online purchases. Good credit is required to open a merchant account; this deters some businesses from trying to obtain one.

The needed helmets (we ultimately bought one of every size for use in a club environment) were purchased from a competitor and received without the slightest glitch.

On 10-24-09 we received the following morsel of nonsense from Pro1. We advise them to shove it up their collective asses:

FROM: John Long (john@pro1powersports.com) 1-866-504-7761

I stumbled across your comments against our company tonight and was very disturbed.. We are honest hard working family oriented company and we frankly you hurt our feelings and possibly damaged our reputation.. My name is John Long and I am the owner of Pro1 Powersports.. In my research and conversation with google you never had an order go through. Credit card was declined period.. I can prove with our dedicated server that no email was ever sent to us about your declined card.. We offer for our customers google, paypal or auth.net which is our card processor. You chose google of the 3 your card was declined and your mad at us for something that was out of our hands. Normal people use google because they dont want to deal with the retailer they want google to handle their order and thats what you got. We have nothing to do with it until it is approved, which yours never was. I guess we should have sent you the helmet at no charge. Anyway we do not take slander and defamation lightly and have contacted our attorneys and you and them can deal with this.

Thank you for being an idiot..  John Long

John claims that he can PROVE that we never emailed him. And how would he do that, not knowing what email address we might have used? We currently have four email addresses, and we purge old ones, and obtain new ones on a regular basis in our eternal struggle to outrun the spammers. Clearly, John made this up.

At no time (Aug. of 2009) did we see a payment option for anything but Google. Did we simply miss it? Not likely. We'll be happy to subpoena his start-up dates for Paypal and Auth.net, but that's not even our beef. Our complaint is that the company WOULD NOT RESPOND, no matter what we tried. Online customers are sick to frigging death of that, and we're no exception.

John Long says he's going to turn this over to his attorneys. We heartily encourage him to do so, immediately, without delay. We'll be happy to bring our records to court.

Our opinion remains unchanged: Any company that can't respond to emails, phone calls and faxes when there's an order problem, is a company we'll avoid like the plague. Had PRO1 responded, they could have turned this around, made a nice sale, and avoided our disgusted review and editorial.

By the way, John, your rebuttal has been posted above. Any further contact from you will be considered harassment and as such, forwarded to law enforcement. We're delighted, however, to hear from your attorneys. And one last thing: SLANDER is VERBAL. DEFAMATION is the assertion that something is fact, when it is not. As a PUBLIC BUSINESS you place yourself at the mercy of those who would REVIEW your business practices and EDITORIALIZE their comments about them. Get used to it.

Our advice: Suck it up, and learn to RESPOND when customers contact you.
