Dear Customer Service,
I am positive that I have not received my order as of yet and I am not very happy about it. This order was a birthday present for my wife and her birthday has now come and gone. Since your product was not received in the time frame for which you said it would, I would like a full refund of my money for this order. Please contact me or send me a "WORKING" email address on your end so I can get this issue resolved. Your website is a nightmare to find contact information to send email or contact you by phone. If I do not hear from you by tomorrow, I will contact my credit card company to cancel payment.
Thanks,
John R. Pellegrin

We have reviewed your complaint.
You were sent a tracking number by USPS at the moment this order shipped. You had the option of tracking this order at any time, yet you chose not to do so. You had the option of asking us politely about this order at any time, yet you chose not to do so. Your tracking data appears below. Please feel more than welcome to contact your credit card company. When a problem is our fault we'll actually tolerate a bit of abuse from an obnoxious customer. When the problem is due to customer inattention, we won't put up with threats or abuse for a New York Second. You CHOSE not to track your package, and even after USPS left a message for you, you CHOSE to ignore that message and not pick up your order. You state that our site is a "nightmare" to try to figure out how to contact us. In point of fact, the link "ASK A QUESTION" appears at the top of every single one of our 2800+ pages. If a customer wishes to ASK A QUESTION, they might, let's see.....CLICK THE LINK CALLED "ASK A QUESTION". If this item is returned to us by USPS (the tracking number will show you when or if it is returned) you may use the "RE-SHIP" option available by link from our home page to have it shipped to you a second time. Beyond that, we will never honor another order from you, and we caution you not contact us again. We make nice products for nice and reasonable people; we won't do business with any other type.

If the item is unclaimed, it will be returned to the sender. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later."

UPDATE: On 12-24-08 we received an email from John R. Pellegrin (even though he had been warned to cease and desist contacting us) stating that since he did not receive his order "on time", he wanted a refund. Since no business should ever be subjected to insanity on this level, we have now blocked all incoming communication from John R. Pellegrin. If he finds a way to get around our security, we will file a criminal complaint of interstate harassment against him. We fully expect John R. Pellegrin to file a chargeback on this item. Obviously any such chargeback will be immediately overturned. We will then charge John R. Pellegrin the sum of $65 for filing a fraudulent chargeback, the terms of which John R. Pellegrin agreed to when he placed his order with us. Honestly, customers like this make ALL businesses wonder why they put up with customers at all.

UPDATE: On 1-2-09 we received yet another communication from John R. Pellegrin, as follows:

Date: 1.2.2009
IP: 68.17.191.18
Author: John R. Pellegrin
Name: John R. Pellegrin
Phone: 2252709989

City or Town: Baton Rouge

I placed a order on 12/8/2008 and still have not received it. It was for someone's birthday which has now come and gone. Since I have not yet received my order, I would like a full credit to the card I placed the order on. Please contact me if you have any questions.
Thanks,
John R. Pellegrin

UPDATE: On 1-2-09, realizing that logic, reason and common sense weren't going to dissuade John R. Pellegrin, we have drafted and mailed the following criminal complaint against John R. Pellegrin:

Baton Rouge Police Department
704 Mayflower St.
Baton Rouge, LA 70802

Jeff Leduff, Chief of Police

Please consider this a formal complaint of interstate harassment against one of your residents:

John R. Pellegrin
8323 Hickorylake Drive
Baton Rouge, LA
70810 United States
2257681999

We are an internet business in Seattle, Washington. On December 8, 08, Pellegrin ordered a "fake Newspaper" from us. It was printed and shipped out the same day. USPS tried to deliver it to Pellegrin on 12-12-08 (see attached print-outs from USPS). Pellegrin was apparently not home at the time, or perhaps wouldn't answer the door. Notices were left by USPS (see print-outs), yet Pellegrin would not avail himself of these courtesies and did not accept delivery of the item then or on subsequent delivery attempts by USPS, and did not bother to pick the item up from USPS.

On 12-22-08 Pellegrin wrote to us to lament that he had not received his item. We replied immediately (within minutes), providing Pellegrin with documented proof that USPS had been trying to deliver his item since 12-12-08. At that time the item was STILL in the possession of USPS and Pellegrin need only have accepted future delivery attempts, or picked the item up himself, or contacted USPS to schedule a delivery. Pellegrin, however, couldn't be bothered to undertake ANY of these options either, and so wrote to us AGAIN, against our demand that he cease and desist, to explain that he wanted a refund on this custom-printed product because he did not receive it on time. Of course, as any semi-sane and rational person can see, it was Pellegrin's PERSONAL CHOICE to have not received said item. USPS tried over and over to deliver it to him; Pellegrin simply wouldn't accept it. We replied to Pellegrin once again and advised him to cease and desist contacting us. But this, too, was too easy for Mr. Pellegrin.

On 1-2-09 John Pellegrin contacted us YET AGAIN, demanding a refund for his product. He apparently STILL has not picked it up from USPS.

Pellegrin's actions regarding his order and its subsequent delivery are a civil matter. Pellegrin has suggested that he will file a chargeback on this item because he didn't receive it in time. Of course that will be overturned and we will then sue John Pellegrin for our time and expenses. As we said, that's all a civil matter and is provided to you merely for background on this complaint.

What is NOT a civil matter is Pellegrin's steadfast, obnoxious refusal to stop harassing us. He has been told, at least twice, in writing, to cease and desist. But we have a pretty good idea what makes Pellegrin tick, and in our view, it isn't logic or reason. In any case, Pellegrin does not have the legal right to harass us after he has been told to stop. He may hire an attorney (we hope he does) and communicate with us through that proxy, but Pellegrin may NOT contact us directly. Not once. Not ever again. We will NOT interact directly with this type of individual. We have already stated our position to him. He has no new argument to offer. His only monetary recourse is through an attorney, and we retain that very same right.

Our opinion is that the guy is a nut-ball, just another confrontational kook who, on some deep, dark, half-buried level MUST realize that he's making a fool of himself, but who probably has other mental-health issues which prevent him from simply doing the logical thing. We believe Pellegrin will continue to harass us until such time as a law enforcement agency takes action and incarcerates the man; that's our view of how this will ultimately play out. Out of tens of thousands of customers, we end up dealing with one like this about every three to five years.

This comes to you via registered mail. We have documented this case meticulously and will continue to do so.
